Hey! Look what was new in version 7.5.3

  • The ATS project file (.tsproj) format (XML) changed to support portability across all supported platforms (Mac OS, Mac OS X, Windows, Unix, Linux) and release versions. Anyone with a free demo copy of ATS installed, can view project data, including schedules, rosters, standings, and any other data associated with the project.
  • Added the ability to import older ATS v7 project files for conversion to the new project file format.
  • New 'Tools' menu choice giving quicker access to the ATS E-mailer, Option/Preferences panels.
  • Object oriented support for handling of game score results. Individual game scores can be exported as a .score file and using the ATS E-mailer can be sent to the organizers or other ATS users so that they may update their schedule standings. Receiving users may then batch import the .score file data by simply selecting a directory that stores the new game results to be automatically reflected in the seeded team standings. It's a great alternative to the organization with many users who don't have the luxury of broadband connections as the .score files are quite small in size.
  • New Printable View for HTML output of individual object schedules. With regards to individual object schedules, in addition to being viewed in one large HTML document, are now also available as a directory of separate HTML files, to be more suitable for printing each individual object schedule as a separate document.
  • Users now have the option to allow or disallow game schedules to be automatically renumbered after the schedule build. With regards to creating plugins, having this feature off, makes it easier to understand the scheduling patterns.
  • New Multilevel tutorials available for the beginner, intermediate, or expert level user.
  • Three new schedule plugins to go along with the multilevel tutorial bundled with ATS and stored in the applications plugins folder.
  • Project Viewer window now resizable to enable flexible viewing of the project tree and object views.
  • Fixed a long standing Mac OS X Jaguar Quit menu handler bug.

Look what was new in version 7.0 ...

  • Expanded, object oriented support for team player rosters. New functionality with regards to rosters is as follows:
    1. Players can be displayed as active or inactive within the roster list.
    2. Activated player lists can be imported and exported as rosters in XML format for integration into other copies of ATS.
    3. Activated player lists can be exported as rosters in HTML format to be displayed over a network; exported as rosters in CSV format for integration into spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Filemaker Pro; exported as individual team game line up forms in HTML format for hard copy printing of game roster presentations; exported as individual team game line up forms in CSV format for hard copy printing of game roster presentations
    4. Line up slip data can be comprised of any of the player roster data stored.

  • As well as team data, location, official, and player data can be exported to XML file format making it possible to import those objects into any copy of ATS regardless of OS platform or ATS version. (crucial for Classic Mac users).

  • Version 7 now improves upon it's unique plugin interface where users may infuse scheduling adjustments directly into the schedule build process, prior to any hard constraint adjustments. Plugins may be created and saved in a portable ATS .tsScript file and stored in the ATS plugins folder to be accessed directly into the creation process. Using plugins, scheduling flexibility is greatly enhanced creating limitless automatic scheduling possibilities for the imaginative user. Works particularly well with ATS schedule templates. Several sample plugins are provided as examples of what can be achieved.

  • Enhanced Swap Utility to now not only swap home and away game advantages, and game pairings, but objects within specified games. Simply append a modification to the a list and the swap utility will automatically execute actions in the list. Using the swap utility an execution order can be defined so as to set up a choreography of adjustments within the utility which can be saved to an ATS .tsScript file for repeated reuse within the plugin interface integrating it into the schedule build for specified schedules.

  • ATS now has a sleek new e-mail client integrated directly into the scheduler so that users may instantly assemble e-mail messages ( in only two clicks ) to targeted recipients associated with games to a particular schedule, date, game, or selected group of games. All objects (team contacts, officials, location contacts, players) associated with those user defined games can be quickly notified in the event of a game cancellations, or changes in game or games' schedule.

  • The e-mail client supports multi-part mime types (attachments) so schedules or object data can be distributed via e-mail as well. A nice alternative to distributing hard copies by hand or via snail mail. The mailer supports scheduled mailings so if only limited mailings are allowed, it can be delivered over seconds, minutes, hours, or days. It has support for prompted or unprompted authenticated mailing.

  • The ATS Master Schedule View now allows filtered viewing of games for user defined game objects, including Teams, Locations, and Officials with data always sorted in the appropriate chronological ordering.
